Dr Williams-Spence has been the Program Manager for the ANZSCTS Cardiac Surgery Database since 2018 and has overseen the significant expansion of the Program and evolution of the quality assurance activities. Dr Williams-Spence also supports utilisation of the rich dataset for research projects, including large linkages with other registries and administrative data to address broader questions relevant to the cardiac surgical population. Dr Williams-Spence’s work in public health follows an early career in laboratory science and a PhD in clinical research involving cardiac surgery patients.
