Simon is a dedicated General Thoracic surgeon in Melbourne. He is the Director of Thoracic Surgery at the Austin Hospital, Head of Unit Thoracic Surgery at the Western Hospital and an honorary Thoracic Surgeon at the Northern Hospital. He began practice in 1991 after returning from overseas training. He has a keen interest in the management of Thoracic malignancy as well as the full gamut of Thoracic pathology. He also has an interest and experience in endobronchial therapies including laser and stent deployment. He was involved in the implementation of VATS techniques from the early 1990’s and remains a keen VATS protagonist.
