Dr. Rhys McClen is a surgical registrar with the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Prince of Wales Hospital. He holds a Master’s in Traumatology from the University of Newcastle and a Bachelor of Medical Studies, Doctorate of Medicine from UNSW. He worked at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital from internship to surgical SRMO, and completed 2 rural surgical registrar years at Lismore Base Hospital and Coffs Harbour Health Campus. With experience in cardiothoracic, general, transplant and vascular surgery, and numerous roles in prior studies and quality imrpovement initiatives, Dr. McClen is keen to progress his skills in surgical practice, education and research.
